There’s definitely some crossover with this strategy, to apply it to selling books, for sure. You may actually have some good success using it as an upsell. You just need to watch the numbers as you get new customers and see if they bite on the book.

I call my art, Punk Rap. It’s a blend of all my favourite influences I like to create. Alternative Hip Hop, Punk, Heavy Metal screamo, dubstep and electronica… you’re welcome to check it out.
So… Since working on my solo project, I have released 10 singles in the last 6 months. It’s been an amazing response so far. I have learned a great deal when it comes to producing my own music.
I have also learned a great deal of what it takes to market music TODAY. When I say I have learned a lot I have also done the hard yards of learning about HOPE… I’ve been in bands previously, playing a heap of LIVE gigs with no sense of direction, is a little pointless without a plan.
Since being on my solo journey… Social media, specifically Instagram & Facebook have been my only outlet of promotion. Which is awesome, but again I need a plan… John, your video came at just the right time.
I’m 3/4 away from finishing my album, I don’t want to rely on hope once it’s released. I need to learn the know how, to give my album the best chance to get heard. I believe I have invested my money in the right avenue. So, thank you and I’m excited to see what MM4 is all about and look forward to int

Hello. So, I’ve been doing Facebook like ads for awhile now, but I’m still stumped at how to get my landing page connected with my Facebook ads. Due to my naivety a few months back, I thought that was what a pixel was(LOL) but it turns out that pixels are simply for data mining. I still haven’t been able to connect my ads with my opt-in page. Any help with that would be much appreciated – thanks much!

This comes down to what you’ve set your campaign objective to be. You want to choose either traffic, website conversions, or a custom conversion. In all cases, you’ll be able to set your ad’s destination link as your landing page.

I am so glad to have joined this fantastic community, it was about time for me.
I must be one of the very first oil & gas engineers in history that half way through his life entered music by chance, a profound transformation that radically changed my life.
I primarily concentrate on modern pop rock music and from time to time I get involved with urban latin rhythms.
Soon after I began a few yearso I reaized I could easily do my own song writing and the stuff that has been produced to date is gradually beginning to gather worldwide consensus.
I did copywriting many years ago before the internet took off, and therefore as a a previous marketer I am into this unique position as I a now trying to make a very unusual marriage in between music and direct response marketing, this is an uncharted territory for me and for most of you I guess.
Hopefully with the help of John things will eventually work out to win once and for this battle for sharing our music to the world.

Hey everyone! I’m happy to be a part of this community, from what I’ve read and seen thus far it feels very legit and informative. I’m a pop producer/singer/songwriter/keyboardist who’s music fuses a capella singing techniques with modern instrumental production styles. I’ve also been working on some creative covers of both classic and modern songs in this style.
I never took the business side of music seriously because, like I think a decent number of musicians tend to think, I was mostly focused on the art. My perspective has matured a bit since then, so I’m eager to learn what I can from this program and try my best to make my dream of doing this for a living a reality.

Hi! Kate Arcangeli here from Kalamazoo, MI! I am just getting my music career up and running. I am a powerful vocalist with a special emphasis on my original compositions written on the piano. My genre is difficult to box in but I sound the most similar to Paula Cole who is known for her big hits “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone” and “I Don’t Wanna Wait” from 1997-1998. Alternative rock and Contemporary Singer/Songwriter could be the most accurate description but my music has chamber pop influences too, similar to that of Bon Iver. I am deeply inspired by the mystical chants found in the ancient rites of Christianity and explore many elements of my ancestral heritage and faith. I am really excited to be a part of this group and devour all the information I possibly can!

Unfortunately I think the problem is that there isn’t actually a clear offer on that page, with instructions on how to get the offer. In other words, I see a small line of text that says “Join our mailing list and you’ll get a free song”, however that’s not going to be enticing enough to get people to take action, plus in comparison to everything else on the page, it’s so small that it’s almost and afterthought when it should be the focus of the page. I just don’t think this page makes people move to take a clearly defined action.

Just have moved home, studio and all – I’m in 🙂
After all these years: The way to do it yourself! The missing link to all my endeavours as a longterm independent artist. I walked away from a record in London ’76 after touring as lead guitarist in the support band on AC/DC’s UK tour. I had a deal yes but was sliced and diced in the process, it was nasty. I sold or gave away everything I had except a guitar and lived homeless in Europe busking and picking grapes. It was honest and noble and more aligned with the journey of the artist. I’m still on that journey but teach sound production diplomas as well as write, perform, record and release my music. My last project ‘Mystery Person’ was completed at Abbey Rd and pressed to vinyl in Germany. Big budget, all worked for and covered by myself, family support and a crowdfunding campaign. I had a successful warm-up launch but sold zero tickets to the big one in Sydney. Job went. Money bottomed out. Driving for Uber and picking up bread and butter gigs while 500 vinyls and q000 CD’s languish in the cupboard. I am in MMM4 and the circle here to learn exactly how I can finally eradicate this cycle of doom, and pretty much support my new projects with my previous projects. I really like the vibe of what I have read here and I’m happy to share together whatever is for the benefit of all. Best wishes to all and big thanks to John and team.
