Hi John,
Thinking big picture for a moment. I remember hearing you say (I think in the 'scaling up your budget' video) that you have sometimes increased your budget to $100 per day for a single audience. My understanding so far has been that there is a ceiling at a ratio of $1 per every 10,000 audience size (roughly.) But I wanted to check if that understanding is correct. Is it that the $1 per every 10,000 is the best way to start, and then you can gradully increase things way beyond that, until the price starts to go up?
The reason I ask is when you mention $100 per day, I thought you must be talking about an audience of a million even after demographic honing down ?! Perhaps you were talking about a big lookalike audience?
Thanks,
Karen
Not completely. You can go under that ratio with no issues at all. I would not hesitate to spend $10/day on an audience that was 500,000 strong. But If I was scaling up within that same audience I probably wouldn't go over about $50 per day because of that ratio.
And yes, I usually am using a lookalike audience of over a million when spending $100/day.

Hey John, thanks for all your replies. I'm having a mini break from thinking about all this for a couple of days, but THANK YOU for answering so many questions this week. It's much appreciated. Have a great weekend. Karen
No problem. Sounds good. I've been off for the weekend myself. Just getting back. Hope you enjoyed yours. Cheers.
