I am just starting all this really.  I had a couple of albums to sell but thought I needed to get my upsell properly together before I really started driving traffic to my site.

Well I got my upsell together and I am ready to start driving traffic as hard as I can.

But right off the bat I have about 600 face book friends and about 100 of those at least are probably pretty easy sells for my new album so I have been thinking to boost a campaign so at least all those people that already know me will see my new album.

Since these people already know me somewhat and know a little of my music it seems more appropriate to pitch it to them more simply and directly rather than to get them into the standard MMM style cold lead mail list sign up that is set out in the MMM course.

So I am thinking to simple set up an FB post with a link to the album sales page:

The thing I am wondering is how aggressive I should be with my upsell.

I am currently offering six different albums so my upsell offer currently four more albums for the price of two after the twofer offer I am using as the closer in my mail campaign.

So for anyone who buys one of my albums have 5 more albums that I can offer for my "complete set" and I am wondering if I should simply present them as an upsell to anyone who purchases a single or if that is two aggressive?

keep in mind that an upsell is just a promotion. However it's a promotion for a product that the average new customer is not likely to make as an impulse buy. That is why we hold it back and present the offer once we have overcome resistance and they are infinitely more likely to buy that same item. But there is nothing that says you can't take that same upsell offer and offer it as a real time promotion to your fans. That's usually where most of my upsells start. I run them as promos to my existing list and then take the same promotion and add it as an upsell. Otherwise yo are wasting a lot of potential profit.

The only thing I'd say though is that you might want to first see if you can get all those FB followers over to your list by targeting them with an ad. Assuming you have already done that, you can absolutely run your existing fan base to a promo for the box set.

I'd probably send an email blast out to your list and then create an ad that essentially conveyes the same thing, and takes people to the sales page. Then target only the people that like your page or are in a custom audience made up of your email list.

You can also ad a pixel to your site and retarget anyone who has landed on the confirmation page after purchasing your album, that way you can be sure to keep nudging those buyers to take the next step, and it will be such a small audience it will just cots pennies.

Thanks,  I guess if I am going to target an ad to my FB friends pointing them to a version of the squeeze page currently:

I should be reworking the aweber list to make one that is a little more custom so as to not be one that is assuming the person is a stranger.

You definitely could. I don't personally because I'm lazy and hate to have too many moving pparts to anything I'm doing. But you could.

Another thing you could do is manually watch for those subscribers to come in, seeing as it will all likely happen within a short period of time. And when it's a friend who signs up (you can just search their email on Facebook or in your inbox to see if you know each other) you could go into aweber and manually set things so the last message received is your last one in the series. this means that they won't get any of your promo emails.

But then again, you'd be surprised how many friends haven't bought, and will when they get the emails. It's really your call. In the end, knowing friends are reading your emails might help you to craft emails that come off as really authentic. Ultimately you can do it any number of ways.

PS - I dig the squeeze page. The image is striking and the headline compliments it well.
