Hey everybody,

This might be old news to a lot of you, but I recently got my first IPad, and I found a great app for taking credit cards for merch and cd's at gigs. It's called Square Register, and is free to sign up. They even send you the card reader to use with your IPad or smart phone at no cost. You don't need an Internet connection to make a sale, you just upload the info later and the money goes directly to your bank account. The only fees they collect is 2.7 per cent of the sale.....no other monthly fees. Quite a bit different than when I tried to get set up to take credit cards several years ago for another business!

What would a jam session with Gordon Lightfoot, Collective Soul, and Damien Rice sound like?

Check out Greg Parke and you’ll have a pretty good idea!

Thanks for sharing Greg. There has been a decent amount of talk here about different apps for taking credit cards. I use a traditional  shoppingcart so it's a bit different but I've heard a lot of good things about Square.

I just bought an izettler, it's a creditcard reader and I think you need internet connection to use it, they also take 2.75 percent of the income
