Okay, so I’ve taken in as much as I could from the MMM 3.0 program and am about to unleash it. But before I do I would like to share it with you guys here in the Insider Circle to get your feedback and suggestions. A little back story…
I feel that my music is best suited for the Baby Boomer generation and their children since that is where I come from musically. So I am aiming at the 30 - 60 age range for the advertising and starting with a group that had a lot of influence on me and some of my sound emulates from that influence. That band is Triumph, so that will be my first attempt of whom to market to.
So in a nut shell it is the Album Oriented Classic Rock audience I believe will be my most valuable audience to market to. So I’m asking all of you to take a look at my squeeze page and listen to my songs and first see if I might be in the ball park and second it my squeeze page will work for that audience.
Track 4 - “Darkness from the Light” is the Free-Download track I am send the new prospects.
My squeeze page is located at: http://www.fallendickinson.com
My music is located at: http://www.fallendickinson.com/614-2
I would appreciate your feedback and look forward to hearing from you guys/gals I would also love to hear from you what bands or artists come to mind when you listen to my music, old or new, so I can get other ideas of who might be a good target audience.
Thanks, Allen
Hey Allen,
Sorry for the slow response. I took a little time off for the holidays. Back in the saddle now though.
I'm not that familiar with Triumph so I can't comment on that side of things, but the squeeze page looks pretty good. The only thing I thought could be improved was the mention of "album oriented rock" as the main benefit of your music. While I totally understand what you mean, I don't think there is a huge audience of people who are fixated on the need for album oriented rock, as apposed to the feeling and sound of that era of music. You might try to tweak the headline to really drive home the experience that your music really offers. You might go as far as to add a line that says something to the effect of "such as bands like Triumph, similar artist, and similar artist, to really drive home that you are speaking to Triumph fans. But I like the line "classic rock rebooted".
And while I don't know Triumph well enough to compare, or not, I did instantly think classic rock when I heard the music.
Let us know how you do.
