I'm new to the forums, so apologies if this info has already been shared, but its worked well for Flo (my singer-songwriter daughter) so I thought you might like to know about it.

There is a radio station in Australia that takes MP3 submissions from young artists (sorry if your not in the 'young artist' category...although I'm not sure there are any actual age limits, so who knows...) and plays them in a 'Starts of Tomorrow'  show, twice a week. So why not submit your track and - if they like it - you can get some airplay?

At the end of each month they take votes through their Facebook site to create a chart for that month. Flo got a no.4 chart placing back in July for one of her songs.

Then at the end of the year the station does a chart of the year too, all via Facebook

How can this add value to your marketing? Well. on the back of the No.4 chart position, Flo got a super feature article in our local press. Then she was invited onto BBC radio to talk about her music. Then they invited her back again (twice) and we have a great relationship with the producer now too, so Flo can go back on air and chat when she has things to promote.

The chart placing will be among Flo's social proof stuff on her squeeze page, which I am building right now. It sets her apart from other young artists, especially because, here in the UK, we think that anything that happens outside the UK is automatically very cool

Plus there are lots of ways that we can build on the networks that have come from this to help with list-building.
