Happy New Years All!
I've always found that stating your goals out loud really helps cement them in your mind and keep you on task for the future. So I thought this would be a good excuse to start a thread to kick off the new year.
So what are your goals for this year? What are you prepared to make happen for yourself and your career?
I'll start... This year I will launch TunePipe, which is a new smart web builder platform designed to make the process of creating an MMM funnel much easier (and BETTER) for musicians. I also plan to finally release a book I wrote some time ago called, "Giving Up The Ghost" - A rock and roll tour memoir.
How about you? What do you plan to make happen this year?
Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Or perhaps you’re just looking for a little one-on-one assistance so you can ask questions that pertain to your specific goals and get a second, more experienced, perspective? Happy New Year, John and everyone!
My new year's resolution is to finally finish up some of these half-written songs and make a solid plan to put together my next album.
It's been far too long.
Hey John,
This is the year I complete my album, put my sales funnel in place, do more live shows and start on the path to becoming a full time independent musician. I'm completely committed. Thank you so much for MMM 3.0 and the Insider Circle - it's given me a vision and a purpose whereas before I felt lost and the only vibe out there seemed to be the negativity coming from other musicians and the industry itself. Now I feel part of a community that is learning, taking action and is open to all kinds of possibility.
Also, you mentioned TunePipe - it sounds like something I would definitely be interested in. Do you know yet when it will be available?
Right on Steve!
That's awesome Shyma! I know what you mean about all the negativity out there amount musicians. Seems many are more interested in having a problem than having a solution. Being defeated is easier than facing an uphill battle, at least for many I guess.
As for Tunepipe, we are just finishing things up now. Hoping to be in beta within a month or so. But it's hard to say for certain. You'll definitely be hearing about it once it is ready

Had a nice chat with the boys this weekend and they are totally on board to do some shows and another album.
I'm feeling pretty inspired right now.
Dude John,
JUST saw this thread, GREAT question. First of all I VERY much look forward to checking out tune pipe AND you Rock and Roll memoirs book. Thats awesome. Steve that's rad, LOVE new music and an inspired crew. Shyma that's awesome and I can totally relate. Cheers.
Just finished the mixing on my new album and on Thursday we're gonna sequence and master by Sat. latest. My goal for next week is to release my updated sales funnel for 'Eccentric Bass Rock'. The add for that funnel had a CTR of around 5% and 81 cents is the cheapest I've acquired a subscriber and that's with a 14 percent squeeze page.
So my very 1st goal is to get that squeeze page up to 30% to theoretically acquire subscribers for around 41 cents at best. Then tweak and tweak the rest of my funnel (which I've made pretty solid and agreeable with my ad and squeeze page IMO) until my subscriber value is much greater than my subscriber acquisition cost. Gotta get that positive ROI.
But back to basics I'll be sharing a screen shot of my squeeze page in a new thread later today for you guys to give any constructive criticism to. Thank you and Happy New Year! (well, Feb)
Good goals Brian. catch you in the other thread.
