You have a great attitude Brian. Good luck going forward.
One minor thing, I noticed the URL for your new squeeze page is "Ben-Harper-Squeeze-Page". That's probably just a test page, but I would be sure to lose that url. I wouldn't want to advertise the words Ben Harper or Squeeze page.

Thanks John! And yes will def. make that squeeze page my home page at brianrogersmusic.com, good eye thank you.
And dude, you did the headline workshop!! Awesome man, loved every minute of it. Thank you- and speaking of headlines, the RRF interviews gave me some ideas to fuel future campaigns for different musical styles I do. Here are some diverse headlines for story-driven music blogs in the near future:
"Who really wrote Sublime's 2nd hit, "Smoke two joints”? The band's drummer tells all..."
"Recovered alcoholic Lesbian preacher Inspires 19-year old drummer to sing gospel and sober up"
"The invisible man finally summons courage to step into the spotlight after 17 years..."
That's awesome man. Those are all great headlines. Glad to hear you've gotten some inspiration out of those videos.
And yeah, I did this last lesson per your request. That's what the site is for. Ask and you shall receive.... usually 🙂

Hahaa thanks man! JO: one of the baddest dudes in the land
Speaking of asking: is their a workshop PDF or anything from the RRF you can send me early? *I agreed to this Nicaragua trip with some musicians... I know it will be great, but it will cause me to miss everything you guys do from tomorrow until Nov. 24thOf course no worries if you can't advance me anything, but ya gotta ask, right? haha.
Moving along, here's the updated squeeze page with a new head shot against the sunset, and the shortened song clip: http://www.brianrogersmusic.co.....ze-page/
And below are some photos from the shoot. The 1st sunset ones could be good for blog posts as we discussed, maybe even album covers or ads. The head shot I used on the squeeze page. Next I got some straight ahead smiling or playing acoustic guitar ones to use for ads.
Then some cool ones where I'm surrounded by lots of stuff that's influenced me: the photographer needed to do that for her class, but incidentally it might work for an upsell page. The one after that is just me. Don't really know what to do with that one because its too tall for an ad.
Finally the last two are a couple photos from the shoot that feature the bass. Could possibly use these for the Dave Matthews funnel, but I think it's probably wise to stick with the acoustic guitar image which sends a strong message.
Hey Brian,
Unfortunately I won't really have any RRF stuff in place until the after RRF launches. I'm kind of creating the modules as we go, so there is not much to share yet. The first module goes live on the 24th, but registration goes live on the 17th.
The pictures all look good. I'm not sure the one you chose for the squeeze page is my favorite, purely because you don't have your guitar. I think that's part of it. But that's just one guy's opinion.
From a gut reaction stand point, my favorites are:
Disc0278
fun-smile
rounded-photo
and maybe disc0343 (I like the feel of this one but I'm not sure it's the best moment).
I think they can all work for the "Jack Johnson-esque" vibe.
Be curious to hear how they do.

Thanks for the feedback John, very valuable!
cheers, I'm offline for 12 days in 20 minutes. Be back in touch ASAP, pay and hopefully make that 1st lesson on the 24th
Sounds good. Safe travels.

Hey JO, back in Wifi range. Great trip. It was profound to go to the remote rainforest hills of Penas Blancas Nicaragua, set up a recording studio for musicians who've never sang on a mic or tuned their guitar, and stoke them out.
Long story but we learned their tunes, recorded them (visual too)and we're in the editing process of a documentary and accompanying record. We have 54 tracks to work with, very productive week. Gonna be a great record. Never done anything like that in my life.
Now back to real life. Speaking of great records, I finally checked out 1st sign of anything. Very nice man.
Sounds awesome man. I hope you have lots of photos and video for your blog. Sounds like great content.
And thanks for checking out FSOA. I really appreciate it.

Yeah man we have hours of good footage, audio and visual. It's kind of exclusive to this company I did the project with though. Maybe I can strike a JV deal where they give me some good footage with me in it for my blog, and I'll shout out there FB page to get them some likes or something.
Either way I have some good pictures on my iPhone from the trip.
Oh yeah man FSOA rocks, with REALLY good lyrics. Left some feedback about it in a speak pipe message at johnoszajca.com. No rush at all to check it out, but it's there if you ever wanna peep some specific feedback. Great album.
Hey Brian,
Yeah, I'd bet you could work something out. You sharing the footage is only promotion for the project. And yeah, photos would be the next best thing.
Thanks again for the kind words about FSOA. But I don't have any messages in speakpipe that I haven't responded to. I think the last one I got from you was in Early November, which I responded to. Have you left something recently? If so, I didn't get it.

Hey JO,
For sure, they are making a documentary out of our experience, so as long as I don't sell that. But I can almost certainly use the story to shout out their site or FB page, and just sell some kind of related music that I make and record on my own.
Yeah man, that album rocks pretty straight forward but has lyrics you rarely hear over that kind of music. Can certainly understand why Interscope was positioning you to be the next huge singer/songwriter.
I left a speak pipe... can't remember if that was early Novermeber or later lol
I left two in recent months, one about Elephant Graveyard and one about FSOA, both awesome albums man. Maybe you replied to both and somehow I lost the FSOA reply in my gmail. No sweat either way, just really good music.
Cool. Thanks man, that means a lot.
Just to clarify though, From There To Hear was the album I did for Interscope. First Sign Of Anything came out through Warner Brothers.

Oh snap FSOA was WB and came out 2nd... Lots of growth from FSOA to EG, and both are great albums. I'd be really into checking out FTTH, is it for sale?
Thanks man. From There To Here is on iTunes and wherever else one finds digital music.

I had to just preview "I Might Look White" based purely on the title... NICE
I look forward to checking out this album later, just bought from itunes!
Awesome man. I need to buy you a beer one day to thank you for all the support. Really appreciate it man. From There To Here was really the big one for me. It was a mammoth effort at the height of my career. That damn album cost $430,000 to make, if you can believe that. Crazy. Thanks for checking out the tunes.

That'd be an honor! I don't bump songwriters for more than one spin unless they have something to say, or unless they are super good at their axe and they're decent lyricists. But your music tells a super strong story and the musicians are always super pocket . I look forward to listening to From There To Here, haven't had a chance to sit down with it but I'm sure it'll rock based purely off that single I heard... Cheers!
430K is high music industry decadence, can't imagine the mics in that studio, awesome!
Thanks man. I really appreciate that. Much of it was recorded at the Village. And for example, The Chilli Peppers, Elton John, and Guns N' Roses were recording in the neighboring rooms while I was there. Not cheap. And without asking Interscope had Wycleff Remix a song for $100,000. I got to go hang with him in NY and work on it, so that was pretty cool. But man, $100k of my money without asking me? And at the end of the day Jack Joseph Puig ended up redoing Wycleffs track so we didn't even get to use the "produced by Wycleff" line. Still, it was all some fantastic rock n' roll experiences.

*SMH
🙂 Those kinda facts make me want to go to the fridge and crack a cold one right now! That's awesome that you recorded in the room next to the Chili Fuckin Peppers. Really inspiring environment!
To just hear about someone throwing another man's 100K around though... I feel weird not discussing the bill if I'm out getting drinks with buddies... Maybe one day we'll all be so rich I'll just take 100K I owe a buddy from a gig and just reinvest it into FB ads for him or something, without telling him haha
Cheers to hanging with Wyclef (that's awesome!), cheers writing songs, Direct To Fan music marketing, and building a business on your own, but mainly cheers to Rock and Roll!! Thanks for sharing these awesome stories John, very cool!
