Hi everyone,

I use Bandzoogle for my webhosting, which makes it very easy to create a website. However, I can't use FileZilla to make changes in order to create a mobile friendly squeeze page or exit pops. I was just wondering if anyone here uses BandZoogle? And if so, is there is a way to do this in BandZoogle, or should look into changing web hosts? Thanks in advance.

Best,

Angelo

Hey Angelo,

I really try to avoid every saying anything negative about a specific company. I don't doubt that they offer a great service for musicians who need a professional looking band website. However, for anyone looking for a platform that integrates well with marketing tools you will really need easy access to your server and a lot more flexibility than most site builder platforms can offer. At least in my opinion.

One thing you might consider is creating a second domain for your squeeze page and marketing. You can always keep your bandzoogle site as your content rich site where you send people AFTER they are already subscribers. Perhaps merge things into a custom option somewhere down the line.

Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Or perhaps you’re just looking for a little one-on-one assistance so you can ask questions that pertain to your specific goals and get a second, more experienced, perspective? I agree with everything that John said - but the short answer is "YES - Bandzoogle is holding you back." As John says, you can keep your bandzoogle account and set up a separate landing page on another hosting account - but now you'll be paying for two services instead of just one if you decided to get your own hosting to begin with. Even if it's only $5/month - that will add up over the months and years...

In the short term though, as John suggests it is the easiest solution if you're still attached to your Bandzoogle site.
