Hi John,
I'm just setting up new ad set in facebook.... I've up loaded 4 alternate images, and clicked on "display one image at a time" (or whatever the wording is), but facebook appears to just be creating an ad for the first image (and calling it "www.rachelcollis...etc Image 1"). This has worked for me in the past - ie facebook has automatically created 4 different ads in the ad set if I've uploaded 4 images.
I also created a similar ad set where I copied the settings from that ad set - interestingly there was only the 1 image there. The other 3 somehow disappeared!
I know there have been recent changes to facebook. Can you enlighten about this one? Obviously if I create 4 separate ad sets with different images, I'll have to pay 4 times as much, rather than getting it to alternate the ads!
Cheers,
Rachel
Hi again John,
I've since worked it out... Rather obvious really! Just keep creating similar ads within the ad set. Just have to do it manually now!
Rachel
Hey Rachel,
Because it's a little difficult to diagnose on this end I would start by reaching out to Facebook and asking them, as they should be auto-generating multiple ads when you ad multiple images. There is an advertiser support tab in your ad manager. Don't be surprised if the first response you get looks like a copy and paste answer and is completely unhelpful. Just fire back a second time and clarify what you are asking and they will elevate your email to someone higher up the chain who can help. At least this is what I have seen on a number of occasions.
If that doesn't get you the solution then let me know. It's always possible that they have made a change in the last few days that I don't know about, but I can't see why they would do away with image split testing as it;s a big part of the platform.

Thanks John! I'll get onto them.... It's seem odd that they would have disposed of that function.
Sounds good. Let us know how you make out.
