Hey guys, I'm working on completing my profiler certification training in the Myers-Briggs system and I'm giving some free profiling sessions via Skype for any IC member who's interested.
For those who aren't especially familiar with the system, it's actually waaaay more useful and interesting than most people think. More often than not people are exposed to it through crappy tests that they have to take for work or random inaccurate, surface level posts and things they might read online. You can forget all that stuff. In fact the 4 letter code that we refer to (i.e. ENFJ) is really just the tip of the iceberg. Here's the real deal:
Carl Jung discovered that there are 8 cognitive functions that the brain uses:
We each have 4 that we're wired to use in a particular order of efficiency and aptitude. Our primary function is the one that we use most efficiently. It's the one that charges us and actually engages all regions of the brain (this can be observed using EEG). We each have a genius-level potential in this area.
What happens though is that it comes so naturally to us that we project it outwards and both devalue it and end up bashing our heads against the wall in our relationships with other people, expecting that they can see or feel the same things that we can.
Learning and coming to understand the cognitive functions that I'm built to use has had a HUGE impact on me, which is a big part of why I decided to pursue this.
I can help you accurately identify the functions that you're wired to use, including the one that you have an uncommon ability in, and give you some very useful tips, including specific leverage points that will help you get better results in almost anything you decide to do.
I'm confident in my ability to type accurately but still working out the kinks of the interview process, so the first four people here who take me up on it will get a free profiling session via Skype. Sessions tend to last a minimum of about 30 minutes and up to an hour if you really want to get into it.
So send me a message and we'll schedule a call. Cheers,
- Scott
Hey Everyone,
Just thought I'd chime in and share that I signed up for a free profiling session with Scott and I found it quite enlightening. I'm still taking it in several weeks later and Scott has been very gracious with answering my follow-up questions.
Without awareness, you're powerless to make meaningful changes - so unless you're 100% happy with your life and where you are I'd say it's worth an hour of your time to be profiled and gain additional insights into your personality and how to work more to your strengths.
If Skype isn't your thing - I highly recommend doing your session as a "Google Hangout", it worked great for Scott and me and it felt like he was in the same room, even though he was in Costa Rica and I'm in Canada.
