Hi
I've just been listening to your podcast with Josh from The Empty Pockets. I enjoyed it immensely and its good to hear how well he and the band are doing with the MMM strategy.
But I'm confused about something so I wondered if you could clear it up for me please?
Josh talks about his chart success. Does he get his numbers registered with charts from sales via his own website? If so, how does this work?
We've had some success with charts, but only by sending our subscribers to iTunes to make their purchase, which isn't ideal. If there is a way of getting direct sales to register for chart positions, it would be good to know.
Can you either let me know how this works, please, or point me to somewhere where I can figure it out?
Many thanks
Deb
Hey Deb,
Yep, he reports through http://www.indiehitmaker.com/. They are the only solution I am aware of aside from paying rather high fees and registering with Soundscan.
